Question: I’m finding that lot’s of my supplements (eg. phosphatidylcholine, liposomal glutathione, etc.) have “ethanol” as an ingredient (usually the last ingredient listed). Is this a problem if I’m struggling with candida?… should I be looking for supplements WITHOUT ethanol?
Ethanol is a type of alcohol found in many supplement products. When it comes to treating Candida, you might have already heard that alcohol is on the avoid list. Alcohol worsens Candida symptoms and overgrowth. Regular alcohol consumption weakens the immune system, hinders digestion, upsets your blood sugar levels and increases the toxic load on your liver. Drinking alcohol produces excess amounts of acetaldehyde, the same neurotoxin that Candida produces in your gut! Herbalists use alcohol to extract the powerful medicinal properties of plants. Alcohol is a solvent, which allows manufacturers to create healing tinctures from herbs. Alcohol is usually prefered because it is safe and effective solvent, it is easy to absorb, it is a preservative which can keep yeast away, and it maximes the therapeutic properties of the herbal extract. Considering that the amount of tincture taken in each dose is very small, the amount of alcohol you will actually consume is negligible to have a significant impact in your Candida. Remember that the beneficial effect of the herbs in the supplement or tincture will outweigh the small amount of alcohol affecting your body. You should’t feel any ill effects after taking an alcohol-based herbal supplement, nor will it hinder your ability to recover from Candida. The type of alcohol that you should be avoiding is in recreational alcoholic beverages such as wine, beer, spirits. These not only contain far larger amounts of alcohol but often lots of sugars as well.
Question: does the baker’s yeast become inactive and no longer affects Candida once cooked?
Commercial strains of baker’s yeast come from the microorganism Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Yeast infections are usually caused by another type of yeast called Candida Albicans. However most people don’t realise baker’s yeast is a live organism because it comes in a powder or a cake mix, but in reality baker’s yeast can also cause infection. For example professional bread bakers have higher risk of developing yeast infections. Usually the problem is not the yeast inside a baked dough which has been killed and therefore cannot cause fungal infection, but raw yeast itself which can encourage yeast infection including candidiasis. Baker’s yeast in the bread can also indirectly affect our immune system negatively. The same happens for people who brew and consume alcoholic bevereages. Baker’s yeast is the same species as brewer’s yeast. Baker’s yeast makes bread lighter softer and it creates bubbles inside dough, created by fermentation of sugars into carbon dioxide gas and ethanol. The problem is not directly the yeast itself but gluten the protein in the bread. Gluten has been shown to increase the permeability of intestines which has a harmful effect on our whole body. An unhealthy gut may open up our body to harmful bacteria toxins and undigested pieces of food creating chronic inflammation. It is thought that bread can negatively affect intestinal health and consequently general immunity and health. Eating foods that are high on the glycemic index such as bread is also associated with an increased risk of high blood sugar and diabetes mellitus. Generally a grain-free diet although difficult to mantain can have a very positive impact in your health including lowering LDL (bad) cholesterol, and blood sugar levels.
Question: Just asking you if i take your CanXida products will i be cured from my body odor ? I shower 2 times a day but it doesn’t help. i tried probiotic pills but it didn’t help . I tried kefir because it have good amount of good bacteria but it didnt help . I tried everything please help me my life is ruined , when i go to any room i fill it up within seconds with bad odor, please you’re my last chance . I dont know what can I do to stop this smell .
It is normal for certain people to have stronger smell and body odour than others. Some is due to genetic predisposition that results in excess accumulation of malodor metabolites in the body. However these metabolites are also associated with gut function, liver and kidney function, diet and bacteria in the gut. Diet can contain direct metabolites that produce odor. The composition of bacteria in the gut also determine the production of specific odor metabolites like methane, and sulfides. Gut function is also related since slow digestion, and intestinal permeability or “leaky gut” can allow for metabolites to stay in the body for longer. The liver is responsible for metabolizing many particles reducing their odor. Finally kidney function is crucial for elimination of many metabolites. There is no one treatment to completely eliminate bad body odor. Keeping good hygiene is important like teeth brushing, using antibacterial soaps, deadorants. The following measures will help treat imbalance of bad odor metabolites. Reduce foods that are responsible for odor production like alliums, cruciferous vegetables, red meats, fish and eggs ,alcohol and certain spices like cumin and chilli. A diet high in fiber creates more frequent bowel movements which shorten the time of bacteria metabolism. Take a high quality probiotic and digestive enzymes to rebalance the bacteria in the gut that break down metabolites into less harmful compounds and create a healthier environment. Digestive enzymes help break down and absorb nutrients more efficently in the gut which prevents excess bacterial fermentation.
