This has been happening for years and I’m scared of getting esophageal cancer I also as well have Gastritis .I’ve tried ppis I’m at a wall I don’t know what to do! My I’ve tried everything there isn’t anything in my diet that causes this I’ve cut out pizza high fat meats I’ve tried probiotics etc. Nothing works acid is just destroying my throat day by day. I did the baking soda stomach acid test. Id say it was pretty normal it took 2minutes and 30 seconds to belch. My doctors are frustrated because I don’t want to take these ppis. What do I do and how should I proceed.
Heartburn is a sign of imbalances in your digestive tract. The acidic environment in your stomach is essential for good digestive health. Taking an antacid may relieve your short-term symptoms, but it will not fix the long-term imbalance. Antacids may even contribute to Candida since an acidic environment is your body’s first line of defense against it. Insufficient stomach acid can prevent you from digesting your foods properly. This means that undigested food is passes on to your intestines. which can feed Candida and cause damage the intestinal lining. The lower valve of the stomach opens when your food is acidic enough to pass on to the small intestine. If this doesn’t happen quickly pressure can build up in the stomach and that’s how stomach acid can end up splashing up into your esophagus. Not because stomach acid is too high, but because it is TOO LOW and it is preventing food from passing in a timely manner.
Even with the best diet, we all lose stomach acid production as we age. Sometimes we simply need to replace what we’re losing. That’s where supplements like Betaine HCl can be very useful, to supplement the stomach acid that you are already producing. Other measures might include changing your eating habits to chew more, and not rushing your meals. Eliminating antacid medication is a great step to take, as it may be making your symptoms worse in the long term. Instead, use supplements that will support your body’s own digestive processes, besides betaine HCL other good options include digestive enzymes, ginger, B vitamins, licorice root, slippery elm. CanXida Rebuild contains B vitamins, betain HCL, licorice, slippery elm, ginger, to improve stomach acid production. CanXida Restore includes probiotics plus 7 digestive and systemic enzymes to help with optimal gut digestion.
Question: I hate antibiotics like the plague, but no one has been able to give me a good answer on what to do if you have a bladder infection affecting the kidneys. The last thing I want to do is lose one of my kidneys. Is there any alternative to get rid of an infection when you have tried cranberry juice, cranberry pills, and you have an autoimmune disease ( I have 4, MS being the main one) and have to be careful what you take. Thank you.
UTIs can be extremely frustrating when they keep reccuring (about 80% of them) and are usually caused by the initial pathogen. This could be due to antibiotic/antifungal resistance of the bacteria/yeast or simply physiology, being a women and being on menopause are two risk factors for UTI’s. Some important considerations beside antibiotic use include: (if you are a women) Topical estrogen has proven effective to restore vaginal pH and prevent infection. Never holding your pee. When you’re not flushing the urine out of your bladder, you’re not flushing out the bacteria and yeast that are clinging to the urinary tract, which encourages them to multiply. It’s also a good idea to pee after you’ve had sex to get rid of any bacteria that might be trying to spread during intercourse. Hydrating. Drinking plenty of water is KEY for urinary health. If you’re currently fighting or trying to prevent a bladder infection, proper hydration has been shown to decrease UTI incidence. Drinking unsweetened cranberry juice seems to prevent bacteria from clinging to the urinary tract, and cranberry extract, is as effective as antibiotics in treating UTI. Probiotics are live beneficila bacteria that help crowd out the bad bacteria and yeast and restore balance.
You can take an oral probiotic for prevention, but it might be better to take a probiotic suppository for an active infection. D-mannose is a monosaccharide that can be rapidly excreted by the urinary tract to prevent the adhesion of bacteria to the urinary tract walls. Barberry also known as uva ursi was shown to be an effective treatment for cystitis. Similarly garlic and oregano oil are two powerful antimicrobials that help rebalance your microbes. Other recommendations include keeping the area very dry, practicing good hygiene, and not wearing harsh clothing materials in the genital area.
Question: My gi map diagnostic solution stool test shows I have high candida spp. Does this need treatment like candida albicans. I have diabetes insipidus DI as a result of thickening of my pituitary gland stalk since 2 years. My MRI report says I might have lymphocytic hypophicitis which is an autoimmune disease. I don’t have any bowl symptoms. I started to have constipation after following a very low carb diet (i followed the AIP diet). My endocrinologist prescribed a very high dose prednisone. I need your advice. I am so afraid to use prednisone.
A yeast overgrowth (any Candida spp.) can quickly weaken your immune system and leave you vulnerable to diseases. There are many studies on Candida and the onset of autoimmune conditions. Candida can cause an inflammatory response by increasing TH17 cells (PMID: 22719976). These are known to play a role in autoimmune diseases like multiple sclerosis, Crohn’s, arthitis. Lymphocytic hypophicitis is a rare autoimmune disease of the pituitary gland. Some studies have linked Candida to central nervous system damage which may trigger an autoimmune condition like Lymphocytic hypophicitis. Antinflammatory foods include flaxseeds, wild fish, berries, vegetables and spices. Other waya to reduce inflammation is with the use of probiotics. A high quality probiotic like CanXida Restore includes beneficial bacteria that produce short-chain fatty acids which are effective at lowering inflammation. They alos crowd out overgrown pathogens like Candida and compete directly for resources, making them a powerful ally to fight Candida.
If you are scared about taking prednisone talk to your healthcare provider about taking instead a low-dose naltrexone. LDN is used as an immunomodulator to help people who suffer from autoimmune disorders like Hashimoto’s, lupus, psoriasis, arthitits, etc. LDN may help suppress inflammatory molecules that cause inflammation. This drug works by turning off cellular mechanisms, decreasing inflammation and suppressing autoimmunity, it can help restore hormone production in the pituitary gland. People with autoimmune conditions have found that LDN improves their symptoms, including fatigue, lethargy, and aches and pains. Although it is not a cure, it remains an effective treatment options for managing these conditions.
