Question: Doctors have had me on steroids and antibiotics for years to try and control severe asthma and sinus issues. I have now been tested for the eosinophils count which was high. They do not know why I have this high count. Any comments on what can cause a high eosinophils count? The new medications to treat this are Dupixent and Fasenra that will lower this high count that was found with a blood test. But trying to find the cause would seem like a better approach than trying more medications.
Dupixent and Fasenra are monoclonal antibodies used to treat asthma. These are new biologic therapies that target specific receptors within the immune system that contribute to chronic inflammatory diseases such as asthma and atopic dermatitis. Eosinophils are one of several white blood cells that support your immune system. Several conditions can cause your eosinophil counts to increase. Some conditions, like seasonal allergies, asthma and reactions to medications are very common, and often aren’t very serious. Infections, especially from parasites, can also lead to eosinophilia. Autoimmune diseases like inflammatory bowel disease can also cause eosinophilia. If you have high eosinophil levels because you have allergies or chronic sinusitis, your healthcare provider may recommend allergy testing to find out what causes the allergic reaction that triggered eosinophilia.
Candida fungal infections have been linked to a high percentage of sinus infections. Short-term sinus infections are typically bacteria, but the longer-term, more chronic sinus infections are typically fungal. Chronic sinusitis can be effectively addressed with antifungals and a nose spray containing Bactroban, Xylitol and low dose cortisol called Sinusitis Nose Spray. Another very helpful over-the-counter therapy is a silver nose spray. In low doses, this mineral works against nasal infections. It is recommended to use 1 to 2 sprays in each nostril twice a day for 6-12 weeks while also taking tablets of the antifungal therapy (Remove). You can also alleviate congestion by doing nasal rinses. Dissolve 1/2 teaspoon of salt in a cup of lukewarm water. Remember that sinusitis is often a reflection of an underlying yeast overgrowth. Remove is a herbal supplement that helps kill yeast and maintain healthy gut flora while Restore is a probiotic that brings back a healthy bacterial balance in your body. Taking Remove and Restore together is an effective therapy for dealing with gut dysbiosis.
Question: I’ve had 4 bouts of strep throat in last 12 months which i’ve never had before. i also have seb derm and constanstly stuffy nose so wondering if there is a connection or just unlucky with viral infections?
Strep throat is tipically caused by a bacterial infection. Most doctors prescribe antibiotics, however if someone is having frequent strep throat antibiotics are less advised since they can generate resistance. Sometimes, if the strep throat is occurring with considerable frequency you should seek medical assistance for further evaluation, since it may be another pathogen that is causing the infection. Candida often shows up as oral trush in the mouth and throat with symptoms such as burning pain in throat and difficulty swallowing. Reasons someone may get frequent strep throat include immune system deficiency. Things that can boost your immune system include getting enough sleep, eating a nutritious and balanced diet, getting regular exercise and avoiding excessive or prolonged stress. Seborrheic dermatitis or dandruff appears as white scaling in the scalp. It involves inflammation of the skin that causes over-proliferation of the inflamed skin so that the scales start developing.
There is a connection with dandruff and a type of yeast, called Pityrosporum and now called Malassezia. Zinc shampoos are actually anti-yeast and can improve the scaling, but you have to keep using it. Chronic sinus infections can also be indicative of an underlying fungal/candida infection. Chronic sinusitis can be effectively addressed with antifungals and nose sprays. Chronic sinusitis responds well to antifungal therapy like Remove and a “Sinusitis Nose Spray.” Remember that sinusitis, seborreic dermatitis and even stre throat is often a reflection of an underlying yeast overgrowth. Remove is an antimicrobial supplement that helps kill yeast and maintain healthy gut flora while Restore is a probiotic that brings back a healthy bacterial balance in your body. Taking Remove and Restore together for 3-5 months is an effective therapy for dealing with yeast overgrowth. Addfitionally you can benefit from a good mutlivitamin like CanXida Rebuild to boost your immunity.
Question: My gut has been in a pretty good state for a while. But now I have had a kidney infection for over a month and passing kidney stones. After trying to heal homeopathically for a month, the ER put me on antibiotics Of course. I have a very good probiotic so I’m wondering if I should take one of your supplements to prevent candida growth from being on the antibiotics. Do you agree and which one would you recommend?
Probiotics are one of the most important things you can take when you are trying to maintain gut health. There are several probiotic species that have extensive research to colonize and promote good gut health. Lactobacillus are great for digestive health since they help break down many components in food and help maintain the gut barrier. Bifidobacteria like B. bifidum are another class of bacteria which have many benefits including supporting gut immunity, lowering cholesterol and helping conditions like eczema and IBS. CanXida Restore has 6 probiotic strains including Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium. Additionally it has 7 digestive enzymes to improve digestion, allow the breakdown and absorption of nutrients as well as reducing digestive symptoms. A high quality probiotic is essential to restore diversity and bring back balance to your gut.
Natural antimicrobial therapy can help prevent yeast overgrowth in the gut after a round of antibiotics. Anti-fungal herbs like garlic, oregno, caprylic acid (busts biofilms) in CanXida Remove can all help eradicate yeast cells. Taking both Restore and Remove together ensures maximum potency and broad spectrum action against any potential yeast overgrowth and supports good gut health and immunity.
