Some experts suggest that all grains should be avoided as they might feed Candida, while others state that while white rice might be detrimental, brown rice is acceptable.
From our perspective at CanXida, it’s crucial to recognize that dietary needs can vary significantly between individuals. Most aren’t consuming vast quantities of brown rice, typically just modest portions. We believe that for many, entirely removing grains from their diet isn’t just challenging but could also lead to undesirable side effects such as weight loss, decreased energy, depression, and insomnia. While it’s essential to eliminate certain foods like commercial breads, cookies, and cakes, it might not be practical or beneficial to cut out all grains.
Including grains like barley, millet, brown rice, and quinoa can be balanced and beneficial. These grains are often self-limited by individuals, meaning they’ll naturally control their consumption. It’s uncommon for someone to consume excessive amounts of brown rice daily. We recommend incorporating a good quality, organic brown rice in moderation alongside other meal components. We don’t subscribe to the belief that moderate consumption of brown rice would exacerbate Candida issues.
