Question: I take blood pressure meds so can’t take Caprylic acid, what can I take to get rid of Candida?
Eating a low-sugar diet is a great start to tackle a yeast overgrowth, but antifungal supplements and probiotics can really boost your defences against Candida. Caprylic acid comes from coconut oil. It works by interfering with yeast cell walls. Consumption of caprylic acid may cause a decrease in one’s blood pressure naturally. This can be a risk for those currently taking high blood pressure medication (antihypertensives). However there are still many other natural supplements with antifungal properties besides caprylic acid. Oregano leaf extract contains two naturally-occurring antimicrobial agents, carvacrol and thymol which help dehydrate the yeast. Berberine, the active ingredient in barberry, Oregon grape and goldenseal has been demonstrated to have antifungal action against yeast and fungal infections such as Candida overgrowth.
Betaine hydrochloride (HCL) supplements are often used by people who have low stomach acid, and maintining high acidity is the body’s first line of defense against pathogens and alongside digestive enzymes it can help digest food particles more efficently to essentially starve Candida. Balck walnut, uva ursi and grapefruit seed extract are other great antifunglals. You can still benefit from taking a high quality probiotic like CanXida Restore that contains multiple benficial strains that target Candida. Probiotics also create an unfavorable environment for yeast to grow by lowering the pH of the gut and directly overcrowding the yeast preventing it from growing. CanXida Restore contains six different probiotic strains and digestive and systemic enzymes, which aim to eradicate excess yeast and improve digestion. You can benefit from adding natural antifungal foods as part of a healthy low sugar low inflammatory diet to starve the yeast. Focus on low starch veggies, low sugar fruits and anti-inflammatory foods like fish and flax seeds. Foods with antifungal properties to include are coconut oil, garlic, ginger, bone broth, turmeric, and cinnamon.

Candida die-off may cause symptoms of a yeast infection to temporarily worsen, or cause new symptoms. Candida die-off symptoms typically start shortly after beginning treatment for the infection, usually within 1–2 hours. The symptoms may get worse over a few days, then resolve on their own. As infections die, they release harmful substances that temporarily make the symptoms worse. You should see a doctor if Candida die-off symptoms get steadily worse or do not go away within a few days to rule out other issues. Studies show women who reported a flare (symptoms like vaginal burning and discharge) were more likely to have Candida present, so flares also indicate the yeast is active and growing. Over 90% of woman found that vaginal flares occurred after eating certain foods. Trigger foods will vary from person to person, so working with a nutritionist can help you identify trigger foods, generally it’s advised to avoid the four Cs – citrus, carbonated drinks, vitamin C, and caffeine.
If you think you might be sensitive to any of the ingredients from the formula like garlic it’s best advised to stop taking the formula altogether. You can still benefit from taking CanXida Restore which is a daily probiotic with 6 beneficial strains plus added digestive enzymes that can help restore and maintain a healthy gut biome. You may also benefit from a probiotic suppository when you are having flares. You can also add specific supplements to tackle yeast infections like D-mannose. Finally you can support liver detox pathways to lessen die-off symptoms such as adding milk thistle (precursor of glutathione, key to supporting detox), cruciferous and allium vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, onion, garlic), bitter foods like dandelion, or a bitter herbs tincture.
Question: Hi, I have been taking your program for 2 months now: remove 1 in morning and 1/2 at nite and restore and rebuild in morning. Is this the proper dose? I have some improvement but have a ways to go. Also, I have huge back pain along my spine. Is this normal?
The dosage for the probiotic Restore formula is as follows: To support a healthy digestive and immune system, take 1 capsule per day with or without food. For intense support, take up to 2 capsules per day. Systemic enzymes are best taken away from food, and for this reason we recommend the first dose to be taken in the morning before breakfast and the second dose taken before bedtime for optimal results. The dosage for the antifungal Remove formula is as follows: Take two capsules daily with meals, (the active ingredients might be a bit harsher on an empty stomach so taking them with a meal is best adviced). If you have a particularly sensitive gut, consider starting with half a tablet or a single tablet per day and gradually increasing your dose to 2 (maximum 3) per day. For a longer-term maintenance dose, consider taking just one capsule per day.
Take your probiotic and CanXida Remove at least an hour apart from each other since Remove has mild antibacterial properties that interact with your probiotic. The dosage for Rebuild is 1 daily capsule with meals, taking it with food can increase absorption of vitamins and minerals. Erik Bakker recommends that you commence with one tablet per day with any meal and over one to two weeks to increase to three tablets per day, one with each meal. Some people benefit long-term from taking one tablet once to twice daily with meals, especially once their Candida or SIBO related symptoms are under control. CanXida Rebuild is ment to replace your current multivitamin so avoid taking the CanXida supplements along with more supplements as it can tax your liver. If you wish to take other supplements try alternating them every other day.
